Lubrication of the A stand swinging bearings, clapper pin, and striker assembly, along with adjustments to the swinger motors and striker, should be performed during these inspections. Oftentimes, these hidden mechanical devices are out of sight and forgotten. Worn clapper pins, broken head bolts, and worn bearings can lead to a significant mechanical failure.
